PRESS RELEASE
DLM Forum Releases MoReq2010® Core Services Publication
Pan European Collaboration Produces Practical International Specification to help all managers in the Public and Private Sector to meet their Information Compliance and Records Management Requirements
8th June 2011, London – The DLM Forum, a European Commission sponsored community of interested parties in archive, records, document and information lifecycle management throughout Europe, announced today the publication of the Core Services and Plug-in Modules for the Modular Requirements for Record Systems (MoReq2010®) specification for electronic records management systems (ERMS). This follows two successful public consultations that attracted over five hundred comments and contributions from individuals, European Commission Experts’ Review Group, suppliers and industry associations.
Every government and commercial organisation is challenged with the task of controlling not only its formal records and archives but also the use of email, tweets, Facebook, paper and electronic documents, intranets, websites, mobile and cloud information, if they are to meet their compliance requirements. MoReq2010 is a modular approach that helps them value, create, use, store, reuse and destroy information appropriately, to ensure that lack of information governance does not result in corporate liability. The DLM Forum expects that most European countries will adopt MoReq2010 as a harmonised approach to Information Management, with the support of all the leading vendors.

Announcement of release of BETA Test Framework and launch of MoReq2010 testing programme
To coincide with the first day of the DLM Forum's triennial conference the DLM Forum has begun to release the MoReq2010 test framework and kick started the testing programme for compliant solutions.
Following on from the previous announcement in September inviting test centres to seek accreditation and join the MoReq2010 test programme, the DLM Forum is now releasing the test framework that will be used by accredited test centres for testing solutions.
The DLM Forum has had multiple responses to the call for test centres to join the MoReq2010 test programme and expects to announce the first new MoReq2010 accredited test centre at the conference.
The test centre accreditation agreement previously published in draft for consultation has now been finalised and can be found with the other test materials here. (A reminder that any independent organisation that fulfils the qualification requirements can apply for accreditation as a MoReq2010 Test Centre.)

Richard Kelly – new HP DLM Member

Richard joined TOWER software in the UK in 2007. TOWER was then acquired by HP in 2008 For most of this time my role has formally been within pre-sales although in practice covered just about anything to do with records management - from sales to support and back. My "patch" is Europe, Middle East and Africa and I make regular visits to all three regions in order to support the local teams. In addition, you will often find me on a booth or speaking at numerous HP conferences and shows. Richard replaces Andrew Ewing who has moved to a new post within HP. Andrew during his time as the HP DLM member was very supportive of the work of the MGB for which we thank him. |
