Rory Staunton is the Managing Director and a founder of Strategy Partners, an independent research-based advice company with market specialists across six countries in Europe. Strategy Partners provides detailed research and practical advice on content management markets across Europe since 1996. Rory is a member of the MoReq Governance Board of the DLM Forum, addressing Marketing and Training issues, and has spoken at its Conferences.
Rory is recognised as one of the leading Content Management IT industry analysts in Europe. He consults at Board level on IT strategy to Government and commercial clients, advises product and services vendors on European market dynamics, and provides market diligence to investors in mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to founding Strategy Partners, Rory was Research Director at Gartner Group, responsible for establishing Gartner's Integrated Document and Output Management (IDOM) service in Europe. Previously, Rory was Information Systems Manager at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) where he was Information Systems Manager in the Engineering Department, responsible cost/benefit analyses, and implementing technical computing, CAD, publishing, records and document management systems.
Rory is a Fellow of AIIM and was formerly a member of its International Board. He has previously served on the Marketing Committee of the Workflow Management Coalition, and acted as an authority and expert witness in UK Patent cases. He has an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Liverpool and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Techniques from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. He has been a visiting lecturer to the MBA course at Kingston University Business School, London.
